Is it spelled with an A over there, or in other parts of the world? I see it spelled that way all the time here (on this site)... in a time where everybody is skipping letters when they type, seems strange to add one

Might be something to do with you Americans searching for every drop of Irish blood you have in you.
I've only ever seen it spelled with an A on here, like I said thats why I asked. So do you pronounce it "mac"donalds?

Although... I wish we had Sonic, Dennies and Taco Bell. I miss proper fast food
Damn you and your McDonalds thread making me hungry. Actually damn Burger King for being 10 miles away
Mc is usually said more like Muc whereas Mac is said Mac.
Ahhh now I get you.
Ok, yeah it's McDonalds over here. Alot of people here are saying they pronounce it 'MacDonalds' but me and all my friends would say 'McDonalds', although we do say 'Big Mac's' and 'Maccie D'.
mmmmmm dirty burgers are good....
Lol It's everyone's guilty secret innit, no matter what they say.
I pronounce mc like mic, rhymes with dick and nick and stick
I think you are wrong, Mc is pronounced "Mic", Mac is pronounced, well, Mac.
my name begins with mc and i've only ever heard it as "mac" or "m'c"
One of my family names starts with Mc and its always pronounced M'c or muc, although mac is acceptable
I pronounce Mac 'mac'
And I'm always right.
Probably - my quater pounder with cheese was great - however as i was telling my lunch time companion english maccy d's is much better than american - i've no idea why though!
I think i've eaten mc donalds in every continent in the world - go me!
I probably shouldn't think so much about burgers
