I've graduated this spring!! Got no grades though, just a job and a shitload of extra shifts.
At the graduation they pretty much just awarded me with the title 'teacher's pet'... :nervous:

Congrats Addict! Have a superb summer and enjoy having your degree now! :D

    There is no acceptance speech!!

You just get called up one by one and shake some hands and accept your certificate.

I get my overall result a week today, and I graduate on the 9th of July. I THINK I've got a 2:1 but I need to wait with my fingers crossed just to make sure!

    Speak for yourself :p.

It may not count towards my overall degree mark but if I didn't do well this year I might not be at any uni next year :(.

I graduated six years ago - you lot are ALL making me feel old! But well done to those of you graduating this year. I loved the ceremony, felt like a massive adrenaline rush to know I'd finally done it and to see my parents/family so proud of me. Going out and getting proper trashed in the night to celebrate was fun too :thumb:

I know a lot of people who switched unis or course after their first year (including me!) so if you don't get the perfect result first time it may be a case of the wrong course for you.

I think going back, I love uni but if I knew that it was just reading often inapplicable theory in books I'd have preferred to do something more vocational. But at the same time, it's about getting a job isn't it :/

i get my results next week i think :)
hoping for a 2:1, but ill be happy with a 2:2 as well :p

dont think im going to my graduation tho - forgot to send the form off in time to get tickets for my mum and dad - so if i went id be on my own . not really too keen on that idea. it would just mean tagging along with my mates and their families

Did you actually tell your parents you're not going?

most spend years looking forward to the day their children graduate uni.

I think it was more the wrong uni, actually. I really do need to do well-ish though, which is annoying. I have a conditional place rather than an unconditional ;(.
