So what have people promised themselves they'll be doing differently next year?
Not much for me but do plan to get a bit fitter and lose some weight and eat more healthily.

Life = happy.
Why don't we ever make a thread about the "23rd of August Resolutions"?
Also, another one is to basically ignore anything negative, and live my life for myself. Too many times this year have i listened to people telling me what to do, and most of them time that appears to be wrong or untrue. Im going to make sure this is my year- a happy one!
Was thinking about giving up smoking but then I remembered just how much I love smoking.
I plan to be a total cad, bounder and general rioutous living gentleman.
I also plan to get my grubby mitts on a fully bespoke suit before not too long.
ETA - Toning up a fair bit and a new job'd be nice, too.
Cos 23rd of august is a bit less nice and round . Like people say they'll do something beginning from next week, or next month, or next year. So the first day of the year is a chance for a new start or something.
- Exercise a lot more, possibly joining a gym.
- Earn a lot more money.
- Colour my hair. I fancy going blonde.
-Meet the perfect girl.
-Treat my family with more respect.
:eek2:
Oi! That's my birthday, you git . I usually make resolutions around my birthday 'cause it's the beginning of the school/uni year and I tell myself I'm going to be more motivated.
I have no resolutions this year, for a change. I never keep them anyway.
Being more positive about life..
Being more confident and accepting who I am
Just basically being
I don't believe in New Years Resolutions.
Get new job or more hours at the place I'm at now.
Cook more... I've made a list of recepies and I'm going to work my way through them all.
And generally have another good year. I may think of some more resolutions before the first. I like resolutions. Makes me feel organised about the year ahead when I'm usually really starting to feel restless and frustrated cos it's the middle of winter and everything seems shitter than when its not winter. :chin: So the resolutions help a bit.
anything i want to do i'll do when i want to do it.
That and give up smoking and take care of myself a bit better.
Work hard and get the pay rises I should be able to get by end of the year.
Do lots of traveling
Finish off decorating and sorting the house
I might see if I can get six distinctions in the second semester of Uni, no way have I put the work into the first one, but I know I won't work hard enough for that.
to get all my health problems sorted
to do well at college and get myself into westminster
to find myself a lovely person to share some time with (and have some good sex, cos i'm fed up of crap sex!)
to get my band together
to have a lovely flat in north west london by september
to organise another incredibly sucessful summer picnic meet
to grow another 2 or 3 inches (really not going to happen but i can always wish)
i think thats about it...
I'm going to join you on that one! Unfortunatly it will probably have to wait to be a new years thing as the damn cook book I ordered for the man for christmas 2 weeks ago still hasn't arrived
Not much of a resolution person though, if something strikes me strong enough I'll do it. No point setting yourself up for failure
