You're trying to hard, just go out without the expectation of pulling. You'll have more of a chance of actually pulling then because you'll come across as a cool, calm and relaxed guy instead of some desperate hobo checking out the "talent."
Meh, the phrase 'it always happens when you least expect it' is totally true..I try my best not to be on the lookout for it, still it's the only reason I go to clubs - queues, stupid drink prices, getting pushed about left right and centre, having drinks spilt on ya, hassle/attitude from nobs and a nightmare getting home isn't my idea of fun!

You're going to the wrong clubs.

What do you suggest? I'm in London. The big venues like Fabric, Ministry of Sound, End aren't great for pulling because everyone's out there to dance their socks off, loads don't drink alcohol. The upmarket west end venues girls are hot but twice as many guys trying their luck. I'm going to try the Shoreditch/Old St "trendy" joints more, if people don't instantly outcast me as a capitalist parasite responsible for all ills in the world just 'cos I work for a bank.

Stop focusing on pulling someone and just go out with the intention of having a good time?

I think you've got the idea of clubs totally wrong. I tend to see that the hotter the girl is the less amount of guys actually "hit on" her. Yeah they stand and stare, try to buy her a drink but that's just bent anyway.

It took me a while to find clubs where i felt really comfortable and started to talk to girls more. But that only happened when I said "fuck it" and tried to enjoy myself.

I actually know people who go out specifically to pull, i've met them in real life, they don't drink and everythign about them is to shag girls, funny thing is they're not really that successful at it at all. I've tried telling them just to enjoy themselves but they think i'm a pussy because I drink and take pills and believe i need that to get a girl. They make me laugh because they just don't "get it".

Just go out and enjoy yourself for once, then as your dancing and just getting a long with people you'll see a girl and instead of thinking about how to get her into bed you might just think "i wonder what she's like?" have a dance and a laugh, but don't take it too seriously.

Sorry if i'm not makign sense i'm in work.

:lol: is that your attempt of being gansta ?

    ... Anyway

I've probably completely misread this whole thread because I couldn't be bothered to read it properly but it seems like you're just going out trying to pull and girls aren't stupid, we can tell if a guy is after one thing.

Maybe you need to calm down a bit on this clock ticking thing and try to just have some fun.

Yes we do - "Haters" is quite commonly used in the US, and not just by 'Gangsta' types...

Haha how bizarre.. the word 'hater' is quite commonly used nowadays, definitely not by wannabe gangstas. It was used at university to describe people who loathed 'hacks' (self-serving careerists playing student politics and stuff), used a bit in the City against socialists etc.

 Maybe in the deep south when somebody is hating on another with more teeth than them, but no. Its not. Probably not since Vanilla Ice and word to your mother. Or eminem:p

I dunno - my friends from Wisconsin and NYC seem to use it. It's not prolific, but it's definitely in use - it's usually when people are talking about racists/homophobes etc etc

:D @ the Deep South. They DEFINITELY use it there ;)

Either way, it's a word that's not usually associated with 'Gangsta' as some of the younger people on here seem to think...

Nope, your right. Now that I think about it more, it is there, I was still stuck in the gangsta thinking ways with playa hata. I think "don't hate" is a part of my vocabulary. Oh why did you have to mention it now! :p:o (and tell your wisconsin buddies, go packers ;))

'Some' probably referring to me ?

Okay guess you're right though - it's not only ganstas who use it .. it's just the way I read it sounded like a Gansta saying it or something .. if that makes sense ?

    Not just you ;)

To be honest, I've rarely heard 'hater' used by any of the street rats around London (or anywhere else). They're usually too busy punctuating every other word with "yeah", or "like" to get much else out :D;)

Oh, that and they're playing music on their mobile phones. What the hell is the deal with that!? Get some fucking headphones (or an mp3 player)!!!

    :p okay then

I agree about the music thing on the phone .. so annoying ! Just because they choose to listen to melodramatic-crap doesn't mean the rest of us have to listen to it.

Aye - but I tend to find its people listening to Rnb/Garage/other 'urban' shite... It's all besides the point - they should keep it to themselves.

You can tell I'm getting old as I tend to tell them to switch it off nowadays as opposed to putting up with it. Unless there's 15 of them, of course ;)

 Not rude at all! :)

I'm 28, usually feel the same as was when I was 21/22 (I just know a bit more... possibly haha), but stuff like this really gets on my nerves.

Usually I'll ask them semi-politely, but usually they're acting the arse and so "Turn that shit off NOW" usually works as if they've got their attitude heads on, they need bluntness/attitude right back or they just try taking the piss. When you're on a bus, you'd be surprised how many other people then get in on it too once one person has 'stood up' to them.

Sad state of affairs to be honest, and another reason I avoid the bus as I just can't be bothered dealing with that crap.

Most of the time I have my iPod on me, and so I am luckily oblivious :D
