In fact I heard recently that a farmer in Peru can expect to make in the region of £200 a year from coffee, or from the same area make about £1200 from coca. And thats selling coca on the legal market, he/she would get more on the black market.
If your children are starving its not much of a choice is it.
However I was suggesting that the real money in terms of 100's of millions go to people who process and ship, not the farmers.
