Which bands do you REALLY wish hadn't split up?

A fairly simple topic, but which bands do you really wish hadn't split up? I know (well hope) that most of us are probably happy that S Club 7 have split but are there any older bands you'd really like to see still recording/touring now?
For me It'd be The Smiths (very sad I know Although to be honest I'm not really that much of a fan, but I've picked them seens as thankfully all the bands I'm really fond of are still together). Anyway, I know that Morrissey and Sarr have done some good stuff since, but every time I listen to one of their albums I wish they'd gone on to do more. They worked so well together.
Also I'd like to see Axl Rose swallow his pride and get Slash back - Guns N' Roses just wont be the same without his input. The Appetite For Destruction and the Use Your Illusion albums where just so good.
So has anybody got any other thoughts on any great bands out there who were cut off in there prime? (don't even bother posting if you're going to say Steps btw)

Instead I think I'll go with Little Angels. For now.
Kriss Kross
There's more but I can't think of them at the moment.
How about bands that you WISh would split up?
I'll start...
Busted
S Club Juniors
Westlife...
somebody had to say it!
ohhhhh i them
and 'them'
brilliant bands...
and the MC5s but that was death and drugs!
Oh and the smashing pumpkins!!
Anyone?!!!
Where's lovedup when you need her, I betcha she'll remember them!!
Yep.
Megadeth
Skunk Anansie
And oh my god! Lucy Pearl have split up and on one told me  You animals!
Hmm Five were good. I liked them. And East 17. Aaaah the memories.
I hated Take That!
ooooh Worlds Apart - anyone remember them??
But i heard last week that Back Street Boys have split....:(
The problem is that bands split up because they cant make good music together, so if you forced to work as a group the stuff they would put out probally wouldnt as good, Cream for example were very very good, but I think its better that the split so that they left behind a list of top tunes and not that many that werent very good.
What would the music industry look like today if the Beatles had stayed together?
And even if all of them survived, what would they be doing? Continuing to put out similar stuff for ever? Or attempting to move with the times? Can you imagine what they would have out out during the 80's? Thats just horrific!
Rage Against the Machine
I would have said Fleetwood Mac but they've got back together
ooh ... i remember upside down. they only had about 2 singles or something. i wrote to them and they sent me a t-shirt and lots of cool merchandise. i thought i was so cool!!!
Well said. Yeah I remember Upside Down, although I was never a fan of them or Take That.
Um bands I wish didn't split up are.. Rage against the machine, Skunk Anansie and I wish Graham hadn't of left Blur cos they never play any of their old stuff now
Oh and East 17.. everybody loves East 17..
The 80's may have been better if the beatles had gone on a bit longer. NO! Just had a bad thought - they may have been doing songs with Yoko! - Aghhh! [clears head of such thoughts]
I did mean the beatles with John, because he was shot after they split.
But I suppose being "pop" they aren't supposed to be around for ages. Hey ho.
I'm glad Nirvana "split up" (if you could call it that) though
My reputaion precedes me...
Yeah I remember Upside Down! I think funluvnchic snogged one of them. And Bad Boys Inc...i was so in love with Ally!
I wish Deuce had never broken up. Craig is truly one of the nicest men you'll ever meet in your life....what a sweetie.
Can I just add that I was very young and impressionable when these bands were out but my musical taste is a bit better these days!
