    To be fair Kermit, the French didnt actually liberate us, that was (as ive argued elsewhere) the hit and run tactics of the colonists themselves by and large. This is what sickens me most about the presumption that we can deliver democracy to other nations by overthrowing their governments through the application of unilateral force.

    Such presumption fails to appreciate that what is not obtained on one's own does not reflect the will of the people themselves.

    I wondered how long it would take for someone to rush on here and point to these images. How unsurprising that its Globe, the thinking man's man! lol.

    First we get these types decrying entire societies as anti-American when a group of 20 -30 are shown burning a flag, then show them some choice images of the odd group waving and suddenly they are ready to believe the whole nation is busy waiting for where the first McD's will be built in Baghdad.

    Washington must be glowing with pride at how easily the spin takes root with some people. :lol:
