So I really am American, then!
You are disciplined but tolerant; a true American (Or true Briton?!)

and i was so sure i'd at least get to be a - what was it? - airyhead liberal or something. Who knew i was TOO disciplined!!! i'm sure my friends and family would disagree. i think i'll go jump from one of those high places now.:eek2:
on that "disciplined yet tolerant" thing: a lot of canadians are getting upetty about that term "tolerant" lately, especially us language freaks (i'm a english grad) because the word still implies a moral superiority over said party or person being "tolerated". i. e. "I think you suck but i'll still let you sit next to me in the cafeteria" kinda thing. but what word can you use in its stead? "agree to disagree" is too long, and i'm not sure "total unconditional acceptance" would ever happen, so what would be a better term??????? any thoughts? :hyper:
You're right there...I sure as hell don't.
