exams

ah yes, the dreaded post where i have to talk about exams. for some reason level 3 btec business students (year 1 of the course btw) have to do their exams in january unlike the a level students who do mock exams in year 12 and the real thing in may and june of year 13. its so unfair. in my recent mock exams i only got a near pass. in BOTH of them. so chances are if i dont revise extensively over the holidays then i wont pass. this is exactly why i want to drop out now. the stress is just too much for me, especially for someone who has exam season so early on in the year.

Hey @toffuna101 that definitely does feel quite early in the year for exams! Usually Christmas and New Years is the perfect time for a little break but having to worry about exams sounds like a huge shame over the holidays. How are you feeling about the exams? Do you have a couple of weeks until them or are they quite soon into January?

Wishing you the best of luck with them too - all you can do is try your best and that's more than enough!

Hey @toffuna101 thanks for sharing this, exam nerves don't always mean something negative about your ability, it's a lot of pressure for anyone, especially when you are passionate about doing well. Whatever result you get, the exam does not define you or your furture even though it might feel like it does right now.

You’re doing the best you can in a really difficult situation and that matters a lot. You’re capable of more than you realise and it’s okay to take things one step at a time. Feeling both prepared and unsure is completely normal, it shows how much you care. I am sure the hard work and effort you’ve put in will pay off. You’ve got this. I wish you all the best for tomorrow and your exams ahead.
