I just learned my dog, Poppy, died. I don't know how or why but when I went to see her she was clearly no longer with us.

@so_very_tired I am so sorry about Poppy and I can’t imagine how painful it is to experience this. Losing a pet so suddenly is devastating, they are family and an important part of your life. The bond you shared will always remain and be part of your heart and whatever you are feeling now is completely valid.
We are thinking of you and we are here to listen and support you through this.

I saw Poppy one last time before she was taken to the vet, I regret not spending more time with her before she was gone.

@so_very_tired That sounds so painful. Pets can sometimes be the most important thing to us and losing one is one of the worst experience ever. I really hope you know that your dog loved you and that she would want you to be happy. Just know that everyone here in the community will try and comfort you. Wounds take time to heal. They leave a scar but know that we will comfort you, whatever you to through.❤

@so_very_tired I am very sorry to hear that your dog Poppy passed away recently. I'm always here if you want to talk <3. I wonder if maybe you could make a memory box to remember Poppy by?. I know some people tend to do that for pets though I know that sometimes it can also bring the feeling of sadness as well knowing that they're gone. However Poppy will always be in your heart <3.

Thanks for the kind words everyone, I was told last night that Poppy might of died due to cancer. We had a cancer scare a few months ago and she had her leg amputated and was put on a medication so we all thought that was the end of it, but obviously it wasn't enough. Hopefully I'll get better before I start college Monday as I would rather not mask even more than I currently do.

@so_very_tired , I'm so sorry to hear about Poppy. I really hear how much you cared for her, and it sounds painful to be adjusting to this loss all of a sudden. If it would feel comforting to talk about her, I'd love to hear some of your favourite memories of being with her. What was she like?
