why am i never enough. :heartbreak:

@eylah you are enough enough, i promise! the problem isn’t that you aren’t enough, it’s just that you’ve (wrongfully) been made to feel this way <3

i’m supposed to be at college today but i genuinely am not in the mood for it at all. i feel awful as i already missed monday too for the same reason and now im missing today as i actually can’t face it.

our ucas deadline is tomorrow, do i even care? no. will i regret that at a later date? probably.

i’m genuinely so so close to dropping out for good this time and simply not going back again.

@shannon_164 it's okay to have a few mental health days off now and there, especially when things get really overwhelming. If it's the deadline tomorrow, is there anyway you can perhaps do it online at all if you need to get it done?

I promise you @eylah that you are enough. You are one of the kindest people in the world, with a truly kind heart, and you don't ever deserve to be made to feel like you aren't enough. The entire community will back me on this one. Like shannon said, the issue isn't you at all, it's whatever, or whoever has left you feeling that way.

Sending you a virtual hug, my favourite twat in the world <3

i did bad in my mock exam, i was so confused on the questions. if i get anything above 10 marks ill be surprised.

@toffuna101 the good news is that it is only a mock. Mock exams are there to learn from, to practice from, to see where you get things wrong, and then improve on those things. I know it might feel demoralising, and even somewhat crushing, but i want to make this clear that it's a learning experience, and won't impact your final grades of your course.

So try and learn from the things you struggled with this time, and you'll do even better next time. Also, mock exams can be quite interesting. Also, Some people think they do terrible on them, but are surprised to get really good grades instead. Try not to jump to conclusions with it yet, as you might have even surprised yourself.

ok i wont jump to conclusions.

So I'm actually going to be doing the internship at asda after all. I talked to my mum about it and for some reason, she is now fine with me doing this internship even though she thinks I won't be doing much at all and wasting my talent. No idea when I'm starting, hopefully soon. Still pissed her and the college and still feel like utter shit.

@so_very_tired you have every right to be pissed. Even if it has worked out in the end, that doesn't make it okay what happened. If it was in some sectors, that entry position would have been filled within the hour. You shouldn't have been left in the dark by your mum and your college for so long, you shouldn't have had that temporary pause on things with the internship, and you shouldn't have had the rug pulled out from under you in the first place at all, or temporarily been blocked from going down the path you chose. Just because the rug got put back, and no lasting impact was done, it still doesn't make it okay.

I was never trying to make the implication that any of this was okay and I think one of the main reasons why my mental health is so bad right now is because of the internship and some family problems, they have both put a lot of stress on me. But at least one of them was sorted out.

@so_very_tired i wasn't trying to suggest that you thought it was okay, i just wanted to reassure you that it's both okay and normal to still feel anger over it, and to remind you that how you're feeling is entirely valid. Just based on your mum's behaviour here, i can only imagine what other family issues you'll be facing, so i fully get that you've got a whole mountain of stress on your plate. Hopefully, your mum can step back a bit eventually and give you some breathing room after this.

lol that was quickly removed. why can’t i post about being frustrated about being excluded:( someone pls tell me what on earth the problem here is with me?

@shannon_164 the problem isn't you at all. Nobody deserves to be excluded at all. I know it can't be spoken about here, but i need you to know that you don't deserve any of it. You've been nothing but supportive of others, and a good friend to others.

@eylah , thank you for your message. I noticed you said that you feel like you're never enough, and that sounds like a really painful feeling to have. I wonder what might have triggered these feelings? We're right here with you to listen.

I can see there's some discussion going on around the break @shannon_164 , and I hear just how strong your feelings are around this and how upsetting things have felt. A reminder that it is against guidelines to publicly discuss the arrangements of a break. This is the same for all Community members.

We understand that this is a difficult situation, but its important to be mindful that The Mix has a duty to ensure that its community guidelines are followed and respected. Whilst we have personal discussions with community members, we are unable to share the details of these and hence the reasons why individual decisions are made.
