@River oh no river, that's one of the worst things that a person can go through. Which one is it can I ask?
@River if you take him to the vet's, they won't forcibly put him down I don't think. They'll advise it if they think it's needed, and it might just be a bug, and old age combined. It's worth seeing the vets, just to check up and they won't put him down without your permission if they think it's needed
@River that sounds horrible. As i say, they won't put him down without consent. They might advice it if they think it's needed, but they won't force it. For all we know, it's a recurring bug, or a medical issue that can be solved by the vets. It's only a last resort putting an animal down, and they'll try everything else first. Worst case scenario, they confirm your worst fears which you already suspect and you can leave the vets with him, best case scenario, they are able to heal him up back to his normal hamster self.
@River i don't know, i know very little about hamsters but let me ask deepai, won't be a sec
@River i know how hard this must be for you, but it might not be fatal as your worried about. Sending you a virtual hug.
@River ChatGTP is for nerds. I told DeepAI the symptoms you told me and it said this instead. Either way, only a vet knows for sure if it's treatable or not, and they won't do anything without permission. I'm so sorry your facing this right now river.
@River nothing I say will make any difference, but I bet you've been the best hamster parent a hamster could ever wish for, and he's grateful to you. Just try and comfort him if you can, until you see the vets and find out what they advise. You've been a ray of kindness in his life he hasn't had before, and you made him happy. Focus on keeping the little fella happy for now, and wait until the vet's judgement, whatever it might be. There's every chance he might be saveable. Just wait until the vet says what they think, and you can see what options exist from there.
@River what did you get her?
Guess the price 🥲
@River I have zero clue. £100 maybe?
@River Awesome stuff, i bet she'll love it. I got my mum a greenhouse for her birthday this year cause she's into gardening (she kills any plant she touches).
I'm gonna get my mum this one next year
@River one of those electric shock pens would be funny if you've ever seen them 😂.
@River I'm here to chat if you want until you manage to fall asleep
