I'm 21 but have born disabilities, one of which is brain damage. I am aware of my prosseeesing issues, that means I have trouble taking in information and explaining things sometimes.

I just wanted to know if anyone else zones out randomly a lot or might it be something else.

I've only just been introduced to the term so wanted some insight to it if possible so I can know if its something I deal with without realising

Thank you

    hey @Lucy_21 🙂

i am not super educated on this myself, although i am going through the assessment process for autism and adhd currently so know a little.

i just googled “what does neurodivergent mean” and this is what came up from the royal college of nursing:
Neurodivergence is the term for when someone's brain processes, learns, and/or behaves differently from what is considered "typical". Some neurodivergent conditions include:
    •Dyslexia
•Dyspraxia (also called Developmental Coordination Disorder, or DCD)
    Dyscalculia
    •Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
    •Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)

Here is the link to their webpage on neurodivergence too if you want to take a look:
i hope you can find the answers you are looking for <3

Hey @Lucy_21 - thank you for reaching out. Figuring out neurodivergence can be tricky, and @shannon_164 has provided some helpful links above to help you to become more informed about neurodivergence. If this is something you feel like you might be experiencing, especially if any conditions might seem applicable, it may be helpful to learn more them to understand them.

You could also consider speaking to a GP on looking into this further if you think this might apply to you. There's support on hand to help you get insight on this! How do you feel about neurodivergence at the moment, and how it might apply to you?

It's because I already have learning issues and prosseeesing delays but over the last two years as I've gotten older I've realised my disabilities aren't as straightforward as I thought. They effect more than one thing. I have brain damage too so I think that might be part of the problems rather than just being physically unable to walk like I thought as a child.

@Lucy_21 I believe the term ND is always changing because there isn't a simple answer

Because in social care and educational settings ND and SEND are the same thing
