After having my job interview at a cafe, my mum said that ‘Yours’ (a plus size clothing shop) we’re hiring.
The issue is that im mildly underweight, so I’m not part of the demographic, which I completely understand. I keep telling her that they’ll think I’m taking the piss if I go in and ask for a job interview, but she wouldn’t listen.
When I went in and ask about their job applications, they said they didn’t have any and I apologised and hoped they enjoyed the rest of their day. I expected this.
And my mum responded with “oh, it’s probably because you’re skinny 🤪“
I feel extremely guilty because those coworkers probably think I was taking the piss out of them.

As far as I know, anyone can work at Yours (the customer demographic is a particular audience, but I don't know that the staff needs to fit that demographic). Based on that, I don't think they'd take it badly if you asked to work there. I think you're okay!
