Hii everyone I just wanted to say in case anyone wonders why I don’t reply for a while, tomorrow im having my operation for scoliosis which is quite big, so I might not be active for a while, idk exactly how long yet!
Anyway im feeling alright right now actually because I’ve managed to accept and calm my anxiety (a while back when I first found out I had to have it I couldn’t stop crying because I was really scared of the risks but I’ve realised this is the best choice for me and im going to a really good hospital and they know what they’re doing), so I’m happy im feeling a bit better about it now.
I’m supposed to be back from the hospital on around the 27th so I’ll update you
I hope everyone’s doing alright ❤️

I came back home yesterday and it’s been so much better than being at hospital. Luckily everything went really well, no complications and so far everything’s healing well!
The pain has been up and down and so has my mood (sometimes it hurts so much I start crying and I’ve been getting a bit annoyed because i currently cant sit anywhere comfortably and i would want to start catching up with my school work soon but i physically cant) but the pain is getting better.
For a while I couldn’t eat without feeling sick but im improving and i can now walk down my street and everyday im getting a bit further.
It sounds like things are steadily improving even though there are still some difficult obstacles to work with. Bravo on being able to walk down the street now!! That's huge
I hope you're being kind and gentle to yourself as you navigate this journey of healing
KEEP GOING YOU'RE DOING AMAZING!!!!!!!!
Yesterday was the 4 week mark after my operation which is great and the day before was my 17th birthday so some of my friends came around which was so nice because I haven’t been at school for nearly 2 months now!
Im all fine now but me and my family had a bit of a scare a couple days ago because i had really bad chest pain (which isnt a typical symptom after this operation) so i had to go to A&E to check it wasn’t a blood clot in my lung and me and my mum ended up up spending most of the night waiting! Then they gave me blood thinners just in case and tbh even though i have a pretty high pain tolerance, the injection for it was the most painful thing ive ever experienced 😭
THEN a couple days after that the sharp pain kinda spread to my shoulder and for two days i could barely move my back (which was weird because for about a week before i had been feeling so muc better) but anyway now the pain is slowly getting better so im hoping it will be gone soon especially as it’s Christmas and my cousins are coming from York.
its just a bit annoying that there was all these problems because now im even more behind in school and its stressing me out quite a lot.
if anyone actually read all the way to the end thank you so much i really appreciate it<3
sorry for the long ramble rant!!
i hope everyone’s okay
how are you❤️
I'm glad to hear that your operation is completed now, although it sounds like the past few days have been very stressful and quite frightening, particularly going to A&E and having to have that injection. It's horrible when you're having to have procedures done for your health, but it's scary and you feel kind of powerless over what's happening.
I hope that in the days following you've been able to take it slow and rest and that your cousins can be understanding over Christmas if you're needing to be involved in activities in a slightly different way or to take more downtime.
It feels like this past month has been a lot to contend with, and it sounds hard also for school to keep rolling on and then to feel behind. Are your teachers aware of what you've been going through? That's a stressful position to be in, and at the same time, it sounds like you're doing everything in your power to give your body the time it needs to recover. I hope the pain subsides soon, @stardust444. Keep us updated whenever you wish to!
