November Fun-List!

Sian321Sian321 Community Manager Posts: 1,685 Extreme Poster
Hey everyone! I don't know about you, but I find November a suuuuper gloomy month so I'm hoping to make myself a list of nice cosy things I can do to ward off the winter-blues!

So far I've got:
- Learn how to bake cinnamon buns
- Watch last season of Race Across The World
- Go see Paddington 3 at the cinema!

Anyone got any good ideas of things I can add? <3

i like going for walks when it’s crisp outside all wrapped up with gloves scarfs fluffy coats etc and buying a hot choccy ❤️ ( if your fan of xmas id recommend going xmas markets ) ❤️
ppl dont always need advice. sometimes all they rly need is a hand to hold. an ear to listen. and a heart to understand them. 🧸

Ahhh, okay adding 'Crisp morning walk' to my list now, and hot chocolate too. There's actually a cute little caravan in the park near me that does the best hot chocolate with toasted marshmallows. Maybe I should go get one of those!

    Thank you @eylah !

I love your ideas @Sian321 and@eylah. A hot choccy sounds delicious right now.

I'm adding as much light as I can to my space with either candles or fairy lights, watching comforting favourites on TV (I'm mid way through a rewatch of Gavin and Stacey at the moment in preparation for the Christmas special!).

I also love reading books that are easy going and cosy. Has anyone read any good books lately?

For me I love going to community clubs which host gaming or art and crafts for fellow neurodiverse folk like me. I also love a good Xmas or food market because I love sampling different foods.i also love a good winter walk as well and taking photos especially if it's snowing too.

I really want to see Paddington in Peru so bad because it looks very good and interesting. Its nice to see Paddington going back to his roots in Peru as well <3. Its where the story all began really and maybe where it will end who knows?. xd

Ahhh Paddington crew!! It feels like that little bear has a lot of fans over here, haha! :3

@stardust444 , have the best time at the cinema tomorrow and let us know what you think of the film! I need to buy my tickets ASAP!

@Claire28 I loved your idea about re-watching Gavin and Stacey to get ready for the Xmas special. I'm so excited to see how it all ends and whether Smithy and Nessa will finally be together!! =)

@Amy22 , I love the sound of those community groups too and your idea of festival xmas markets. There should be a Christmas market opening here in the next few weeks, so that's actually a great shout to plan an evening there to go and enjoy all the festive food!

  • Sian321Sian321 Community Manager Posts: 1,685 Extreme Poster
@Katie12 , I haven't yet I must admit, though I really want to! Gonna have to get it booked in for next weekend I think!

On another note, I made an apple cake this weekend which felt so cosy and fun to do! Definitely adding 'baking' to my Winter fun list! <3

@Katie12 yes, watched it last Friday!! It was very sweet

@Sian321 i love baking with apples. The other day I found this recipe on Pinterest where you put a slide of apple in a pancake and then cook it, it was so good!!
