Trauma/night terrors

All the trauma from the past keeps coming back up especially at night, last night I asked my boyfriend to stay on ft with me till I fell asleep and then earlier I asked my other friend if she can do the same tonight.

The trauma stuff is making sleeping feel unsafe without someone “on guard” :(
Sometimes when the people most like you don't love you, it is a hurt that can cause the greatest pain, and this pain can lead you to hate everything.

That sounds super scary to be going through right now. Having nightmares ain't fun I know the feeling especially during the night time too. Our brains try to trick us in thinking things sometimes. What I tend to do is to tell myself that nightmares are real and are kind of what our brain conjures up in a way. Is there anything you find calming you can do before bedtime which could ease these nightmares?. It's good that you had a friend and your boyfriend to stay with you and it shows that they care all about you too. It sounds like a good plan to have. I hope your OK right now. Sending hugs,

That sounds like a nice thing to do before bed. I kind of do the same sometimes. It's nice to just put on a few relaxing tunes to relax our brains. So then when we go to bed we feel good too <3. That sounds like a good coping strategy potentially .
