Life's finally looking up for me

Finally away from school, from the patronising teachers and straight up horrific way my 'friends' would treat me, and now surrounded with classical music - my favourite thing in the world, playing at concerts, competitions and just meeting so many similar people, I love it. Honestly with the way I was treated at school no wonder I hated it, I'm just so thankful I'm out of there and now actually being treated as an equal to all the lecturers and instrumental teachers. I love it

    Hi @IainJammyboy I'm so glad that life is starting to look up for you especially as I know you went through so so much with friends and family life too. As @Azziman mentioned its important to have people who value and understand you, those who don't value you aren't worth keeping in the end. It also sounds like playing music has been a big bonus too as it brings you joy as well as meeting other like minded people too who are into the same things as you.     Maybe somethings don't get better, but we do. We get stronger. We learn to live with our situations as messy and ugly as they are. We fix what we can and we adapt to what we can't. Maybe some of us will never fully be okay, but at least we're here. We're still trying. We're doing the best we can. That's worth celebrating too ❤

    @IainJammyboy I’m glad to hear you are in a better place now, school definitely isn’t for everyone. Thank you for sharing your experience also, I think it will resonate with many people, not just struggling in a school environment. But knowing that life will eventually look up after hardships and struggling.
