Im struggling right now

Hi, guys sorry I hope everyone is good. Im sorry if I keep sounding repetitive and keep posting about similar stuff but Im just a bit limited on where feel like talking about things. So I recently have been struggling, a few of you probably know my situation from the group chats and my other recent posts too. Atm I'm  just completely down with everything September last year marks the 1st which wasnt planned. The past few days I have been waking up just lying in bed stressing about some situation and other stuff too. Its just sucks atm so much I just sit at home on  games during the day and sleep 24/7. I dont go outside and socialise much. It's not fun. I can't wait for this to be over, so I can start getting money and saving instead of being restricted with it. I feel a bit stuck.  I don't have a life didn't have a social life, just to the same boring thing every single day of my life the thought of me just wasting my life away really gets  to me. Ive been thinking whats next, ive had like people suggest do retail jobs a lot, which might be my only option atm like theres nothing wrong with them but they arent easy, dealing with rude customers, rude colleagues or managers and other stuff like it can be  stressful like all jobs can be though. Also for quite a bit of time now Ive been scared of being stuck in some dead end job all my life, its been a big fear for me and I just feel like thats now becoming reality. I know people have suggested volunteering too but I'm not sure what anxiety it will get me and part of my situation is im not getting much of an income so volunteering wouldn't solve that part, I know it would solve the keeping me busy part though but I think its about time I did something paid.

What makes matters worse was  I'd remember a few years ago when I was younger full of hopes and dreams and here, I am now in my 20s  gaming all day thinking about the next best thing for me  being some retail jobs, it wasn't exactly how I planned my life so that's getting to me a lot. It feels like other people are in jobs they like working hard for themselves probably and I'm just at  home struggling stressing. Also other people might not be actually enjoying themselves either so I have thought if other people aren't enjoying life then I have even less chance that I ever will. I've been starting to think I will won't ever be happy in life. I dont know if I should say this because I'm not diagnosed with depression so it might take away from people who genuinely suffer from depression but just properly feel so worried about my future and down with everything atm too.

Hey. Sorry to hear how tough things seem for you right now. I get it, I relate to everything you said. Well with one difference, I'm not even thinking about jobs yet, I don't think I can handle a job right now.

You know what to do to make your life better, yet in a way you feel powerless, which turns into hopelessness, right? I don't want to make any assumptions but it does sound (at least partially) like depression. The constant low mood and no energy or motivation for anything. I've said this before but again, you're not alone feeling like this. Sorry I don't really have any advice I could give, if I did I wouldn't be stuck in the same place. So please just be kind to yourself and remember that things will get better. At least that's what everyone says so I guess it must be true.

Could you maybe try a new hobby or learn a new instrument or maybe join some sort of club? Maybe these could help bring up your mood and give you this satisfaction of doing something new or different. Take care :)

    Hi @JJLemon18 mate
Yh thats kinda right. Also true like I've felt like this for a long time. Its no problem even if you had advice, I appreciate your reply plus you have given some.

Maybe not an instrument as a hobby as I think id find it a bit boring as im not that into playing music myself, do you get it? A hobby in general is definitely a good idea to give me something to do in spare time and something to look forward too.

@FordRanger I'm really sorry to hear that you're feeling this way. It sounds like you're going through a tough time, and it's okay to share your feelings and concerns here.

It's understandable to have worries about the future and to feel stuck in your current situation. Many people face uncertainties and challenges in their lives, and it's okay to seek support and guidance as you navigate through these feelings. It's important to remember that seeking help doesn't diminish the struggles of others; each person's journey is unique.

When you're feeling overwhelmed, it can be helpful to break things down into smaller steps. Rather than trying to tackle everything at once, focus on one thing at a time. It's okay to explore different options and paths to see what feels right for you. You mentioned worries about retail jobs and concerns about being stuck, but remember that your first job doesn't define your entire career trajectory. Many people start in one place and move on to other opportunities as they gain experience and skills.

If you're comfortable, consider talking to someone about your feelings, whether it's a friend, family member, or mental health professional. They can offer support, insights, and guidance as you work through your concerns. It's also important to take care of yourself both mentally and physically. Engaging in activities you enjoy, staying connected with friends and loved ones, and practicing self-care can make a positive difference in your overall well-being.

Remember that your feelings are valid, and it's okay to seek help and take steps toward a more positive future. You're not alone in this journey, and there are people who care and want to support you.

@Stephanie hi, good to get a reply from you as youve not been on the chats for a bit. I'm doing OK, some days I do struggle and some I don't though but I'm just trying to get sorted with work.

Hope you're doing OK too, also if you don't mind me asking are you going to return the support groups or are you sticking with just moderatoring boards for now? I appreciate you checking in too.

You mention having some days when you don't struggle so much @FordRanger which is positive. Is there anything different about the days when you don't struggle so much that might be useful on the days you struggle more?

Also, how is getting sorted with work going for you at the moment? We are here with you if you would like to talk about this some more. I believe @Stephanie is sticking with moderating boards for now but I have tagged @Stephanie in this thread so @Stephanie can respond to you :p
