Comfort Characters

Hi just wanted to create a thread where we could talk about our favourite comfort characters. They could be from TV, film, book or even a real life inspirational person you look up to. It would be cool to see everyone's and what they mean to you.

For me, I got to say Ray Stantz from The Real Ghostbusters cartoon is one of my comfort characters at the moment. He is so cute and adorable at times. He gives me golden labrador vibes.

For me, it has to be Lisa Simpson! The Simpsons always lighten up my mood when things feel heavy. Lisa also reminds me of myself, especially her need/desire to be nerdy and make the world a better place =)

If anyone has heard of jellycat toys they are my absolute comfort. They are soft cuddly toys that are animals and food with faces on, I have little ones I take on holidays and the bigger ones stay in my bed but they are sooooo snuggly

I'm a big collector of beanie boos but only the older versions from the 90s. They were originally teddy bears that you could collect then they started making more animals over time. I know that some of the older ones are worth quite some money especially if the tags are kept on and stuff.

I was always a big littlest pet shop fan too. I loved my lps so much!. I still got them somewhere and I'm never getting rid of them too.

Ah I collected loads of lps from friends and boot sales n stuff. Sometimes if my friends were doing a clearance or sort out I get some from them. I had a lot of cats and dogs mostly, plus a mixture of other ones too.

This is an excellent Idea Amy, as comfort characters are definitely a thing, and it's interesting to see which ones mean a lot to others. :+1:

For me honestly I have loads, it's a toss up between Heather Mason from Silent Hill 3, and Sonic the Hedgehog as my main comfort characters.

I admire the bravery that Heather Mason has honestly. she's in a really bad spot and yet doesn't give up and keeps fighting against the bad spot she's in (if you've played or seen something to do with Silent Hill before, you'll know exactly what I mean). I kinda wish I was a bit more bolder like her as a teenager, she's awesome.

Sonic I like for similar reasons honestly, and how kind he is to others, plus he definitely isn't afraid to speak his mind (saving the world from various threats), which can be a good quality to have, provided that people don't become arrogant because of it, as that's not so good. Also having super speed must be incredibly cool to have.

Also here's a bonus, the other character in that picture is another all time favourite comfort character. She's called Princess Sally Acorn, and she's from an old Sonic cartoon from the 90's. Sadly not well known unlike Amy Rose, which I have a like/dislike opinion on.

I really love how they did her character. Even though she's a princess, she's not just staying on the sidelines letting others do the work for her, oh no, she's freedom fighting with close friends against a real danger. Also, she's super smart and it's awesome how she has a mini computer to help her and everyone else on her missions. Great character, and I really hope that she's make a return one day into mainstream media.

Others include Danger Mouse, Rapunzel, the 10th Doctor and Sailor Venus, but if I were to talk about them in this post, it would be very long indeed.:lol:
