Wats the difference between ptsd and
complex ptsd
In your case, it seems like having all this additional space leaves you with room to move away from difficult emotions and get some space rather than stewing in the same area of the house that the bad feelings began in.
I think the question about still needing therapy is also very important. For many people with PTSD, they take part in therapy for a long time, some for their whole lives and it's not because they are 'broken' or anything else 'abnormal' simply because it helps them to cope with their day-to-day life following trauma. How do you feel about still needing therapy?
In terms of the PTSD vs. Complex PTSD, there is some info out there that I will link below. The main difference that people talk about between the two is that CPTSD is more likely to happen if the person has experienced trauma at a younger age over a period of time, compared with those who may face a singular trauma in their adult life. There are some differences in symptoms too, some that are mentioned are: persistent negative beliefs about yourself, avoidance of relationships or difficulty trusting others and difficulty in managing emotions. What do you think about this?
