    It sounds like you're asking why people enjoy going on holidays? If that's right, then I reckon a big part of it is because we want to very literal escape from our reality. So, if your work is stressful or your exams at school, it makes total sense to want to disappear to a totally different (and potentially new) place to escape from all that distress and be taken out of that overwhelming environment @ellie2000 .

    You often see that people who take annual leave (but are still at home) continue to do bits of work here and there, without fully accepting that they are meant to be relaxing. Whereas, if you go somewhere completely different you can't really do that anymore!!

    Plus, I think holidays give us the chance to explore new places and learn from other people which is nearly always rewarding and exciting =)

    i used to hav 3, the one at 'finlake' in devon i really liked. coz i felt relaxed. i did swimming, archery and i felt happy coz it was out of the way of life. its got nordic style huts
