    Proud of you!! I’m not a quick learner so you will definitely get better with practice! Don’t worry about it getting too loose, you will figure it out and at least you made a chain ((: Even though single crochet is probably the easiest, I actually learnt double crochet first because I couldn’t grasp single at first. I think maybe it’s because double is easier to see but I’m not sure. So yeah, do what’s right for you when you learn.

    I just found out about a type of crochet which is kinda meditative. It's called freeform crochet and it looks really cool. I just had a go now doing it and I liked it a lot. :)

    Just wanted to say from looking at the pictures in this board, the crocheting is amazing. it's nice to see it can be used meditative way like @amy22 mentioned, and it's great to just see how talented people are. - i may have to consider having a go myself at this rate =)

    Aw no worries @ilovetaylorswift it's really fun to do as you don't need to use a pattern. It's like creating your own pattern. I manged to make some stars today. That's sounds amazing, crocheting squares are so fun and relaxing.

    I also took a photo of the crochet book I used for the stitch as the stitch isn't my own pattern. But I have enjoyed doing some squares this week.

    Hi again I followed a youtube tutorial by a youtuber called Jayda in Stitches (I think that's the name). I made a pumpkin ready for Halloween lol 😂 will post the video underneath if I can :)

    @ilovetaylorswift for a first go at it, i'd say these are really really good. Although I don't crochet myself, I can imagine just how relaxing it can be to sit and do.

    For the top boarder, I did single and then half double crochets around it. For the handles, I did 95 chains and did two rows of half doubles and stitched them to the bag :))

    I used a 4mm hook btw
