“cold water swimming treating depression”

I just wanted to share this link as thought was interesting read and maybe helpful. It was something that was mentioned in group therapy. And someone said that in Brighton they have a group of people struggling with mental illness that go to the cold sea in winter to help with their mental health and said soemthing the nhs was wondering about treatment or something

And we was talking about try this on a smaller scale of just having a very cold shower when i feel like self harm - can help. And also apperently holding on an ice cube helps aswell. Actually painfully cold as shocks the system and what not. But anyway Feel like people are sometimes quite skeptical and dismissive of that method of holding ice ect - so just wanted to share
