Oh my Fuck! I *love* this one!
Everyone's pics are great!!
I loved the one of the dandelion :KHSS
And the one of the thistles: wooooah
All these pictures are amazing!
And to think I had a lecture in philosophy about why photography isn't art...
With the Albert Memorial (I think that's what it is) I was on the wrong side of it to get a good picture, and could not be bothered to walk all the way round to other side just to get the detail, so I decided to make the sun a part of the picture. By positioning it just right, I got a silhouette with a glimpse of the sun. I think it is fantastic.
To this day, I have no idea why I photographed the M4. But, hey.
The River was taken under a bridge, so has elements of darkness and lightness which I think contrasts well.
The river and birds picture, I think, conjures up a nice tranquil image. I like the fact I framed the birds off centre.
The Tunnel of Trees, although taken in broad daylight with a bright shiny sun, seems rather eerie.

hope u like these as well
sorry, there massive again
For example your cone shot is a great piece, but all I really see is that piece of trash on the ground next to it.
Postbox could equally well be "back of person standing on the road", and Lamps needed an angle shift because at the moment you chop one of the lamps off, and the other draws the eye to the left over to a curtain pole that's edging into shot.
i can see what u mean now
funny how it takes someone to point out things in them
thanks i shall work on that from now on:)

what do you think?
Agreed, the last one is class.
I agree really nice images. Generally, across the boards, we ask people to not post images that push out the format of the boards as these curlyboys have. However, for this forum we don't want to be as restrictive as obviously it's great to see this quality of image at a bigger size. So, a compromise, if you are posting larger images can you re-size them to 800 pixels wide max?
Anything larger than this will be removed I'm afraid.
Cheers. :thumb:
