  There are some good cross dr who/tourchwood references and you can see the references to rose etc returning as well.
  
  Still dont Catherine Tate was a very good choice as assistent.

  I thought it was a poor choice but the first two episodes have shown that she can do it. It's good to have an assistant that will challenge the Doc rather than the puppy eyed crap, which was getting a bit boring.
  
  Most of the people I know that haven't taken to her are the ones that watched her comedy shows.
