beer - what do ppl prefer bottles or cans? (i was just thinking of that thing that drinking through a straw gets you drunk faster, wondering if theres a diff betwwen bottles and cans :D, yes im bored).

    I almost bought cans once not too long ago becasue it was on sale real cheap, but lucky me the bottles were on sale too, just unadvertised. Havn't had beer in a can since I was 15 I think.

    And drinking thru a straw doesn't get you drunk faster. Thats just silly thinkging. And they say you learn nothing from tv.

    well yeah but over here (might be the same in the US too!) you get more value for money with cans (like more beer per $ ;p) so i have always swayed towards them...

    Bottles, although they are extortionately priced compared to cans usually. This is purely for taste, nothing to do with getting drunk quicker.

    Yeah, they usually sell for cheaper, but not enough to make a difference. Like this week, you can get a 12 pack of 12oz bottles for $7.99 or 24 12oz cans for $11.99. Hardly a real deal. Plus they keep in the fridge much easier as I like to put them in the door shelves and leave more room for... more beer and yogurt.

    Yeah the fridge space aspect is true....yoghurt is always good... so is beer, everyone wins! (except the beer cans)

    i, obviously, dont really drink beer.

    but i always though it looked so much cooler to walk around with the neck of a bottle in my hand. cans just look like crap.

    Can't beat a lock of tins of stella before heading out. Bottles are nicer to drink from but you tend to get less for your money.

    Usually bottles, but if I'm at the gas station or having an extra beer from the pizzaria when ordering take away, there is not always the option. I have no problems with cans.

    The last time I drank beer out of I can was when I was about 13 and I found my Dad's stash of Export in the loft.

    I'm not bothered, but if I'm taking my time I prefer bottles cos they keep colder for longer

    cans - more beer and cheaper than the same amount in a bottle.
    having said that, in germany all you can get is beer is bottles. cans is a no-no.
