My hubby gets sciatica & his osteopath reacons that the bedrest idea is a bit outdated, go & visit a GOOD osteopath, he/she'll get you better sooner than rest will.
What did your GP tell you the prozac was for?

I had a life once, but I stopped feeding it so one day it just walked away.

Phew.
Don has Robaxin (another name for it is Methacarbamol, or is it Methocarbamol). It is an excellent muscle relaxant, I nicked some from him because I hurt my neck this morning , much better than the pain killers!
Hope it gets better soon.

does it matter????
I've not lost my mind it's inserted elsewhere - hence the limp.
It means your sciatic nerve is giving you gyp.
it looks like he thinks it's due to muscle tension putting pressure on the nerve, and he's planning to take the tension away. He needs you to really rest, and then tell him if it has helped the problem or not.
So many people don't go back when treatment doesn't work - they think there's nothing the doctor can do. The doctor thinks he has fixed the problem. If the person goes back, and reports, the doctor then looks at the next most likely problem.
This, of course, assumes a good doctor and communicative patient.
But part from that piece of unsueful fairly insensitive help, hope u feel better soon n everything goes well after the treatment stuff
