Every time I see him on something I start off watching him through my fingers thinking "WHAT A HANDPUMP" and then the sheer cleverness of his wit wins me over. I have to give him points for not dumbing down - even while presenting a show about Big Brother (!) - because you really do have to be quite fabulous to make reference to Dante, Freud, The Smiths AND be funny in one frenetic dialogue.
I do think he's OTT dirty though... and not in a good way. A bit lame. I also hate the fact that he says anyone is fair game and he'll take the piss out of anyone (himself included) but when he was asked which one of BB7 he though was the stupidest/most irritating he said he wouldn't answer as the question was "too mean". Fuck that for a game of soldiers! I like my bitches bitchy! Though yeah, he obviously wouldn't have said Dimogen though as he was slipping it to her if the tabloids are to be believed - I wish he would apply his high-brow values to the people he bones. However, I'm not bias and I do think that he tends to labour obvious points somewhat frequently - especially when it comes to dissing the tabloids (it's not news or cutting edge to say that the Daily Star is a pile of crap)
I read just yesterday an interview where someone said he is so big now that it doesn't really mean anything to say you like him these days - not a bad point I thought.
