The Moldy Peaches - you've got to have rain to have rainbows, you've got to have dick to have a dick in your mouth. And the music is good (well, it's not, but that's why it is). Shame they split.

The music of Focus always cracks me up. Go and download Hocus Pocus, six and a half minutes of prog rock yodelling. Genius.

Eric Bogle's lyrics are wonderful. Christy Moore's stories are hilarious. I don't like bands that try and be funny, because they always end up looking like the D*rkn*ss.

A friend of mine has attempted to ban me from listening to this until I'm 18 - then he gave me a DVD of songs with this song on it...

And have you heard Adam Green's solo stuff?

The only thing that's NOT wrong with The Darkness is Dan Hawkins (note: guitarist, not lead singer). GOD he's pretty.

The rest of it is shite though.

Called Fire Water Burn I believe.

Motley Crue also have some fantastic lyrics.

"Spent a million dollars on amphetamines
    Crashed a lot of cars
Fucked all the stupid stars in Hollywood
Because I could, because we could"

Yes, the Vandals. The covers of songs from the shows is fantastic.

I've heard some of Adam Green's solo stuff. I prefer the stuff by Kimya Dawson tbh.

Yeah but they are just not very nice people.

What the fuck does that have to do with Anything?

The Music is better, so what if the people are what you wouldn't term "Nice". If the music is better, does it matter the artists aren't "nice" people? Does it affect what you hear in any way?

Iron Maiden aren't a bunch of nice people. Brucey can be a real cunt. he has on many occasions, infact. Including pissing in his headmaster's dinner at a private school he was sent to.

Right I don't like them or their music but thats just me. You can like them thats fine.

I can't fathom why they reformed and correct me if i'm wrong but did'nt one of them mow down and kill one of the members of Hanoi Rocks while driving in a drunken stuper then release an album call "music to crash cars to".

    1. No. They were both in the car. Vince Neil was driving and they crashed. It was completely accidental.

    2. No. They wouldn't have been that stupid.

    couldn't resist...

From The Vandals' 'Vibrator song': "You're built like R2D2 and you smell like Mr. Ed"

Also, Tenacious D's 'Wonderboy': "How about the power to kill a yak from 200 yards away... with mind bullets! That's telekinesis, Kyle."

I'm afraid they were. It was called "music to crash your car to", released in 2003 and has a burning car on the front. Google it if you don't believe me.

    Oh thats my favorite part

There is one song. I have it on a disk somewhere but every time i search for it the band i thought it was never shows up nor does any of the lyrics.

God I'm having a brain fart now. I listened to the vandals my girlfriend is dead now I cannot think of any other song but that. Can't even remember a part of the lyrics. But the song is about killing his girlfriend but then stuffing her. Like with diamond earrings and roses and perfume so she don't stink up my room, then something like in 20 years she'll still look the same. Grrr...

If anybody can tell me that song... well i'll be quite pleased and say thank you very much.

Funny bands are okay, but I can't deal with jokey/novelty songs all day long.

I prefer witty bands like Pulp, the Arctic Monkeys and The Smiths.
