he's our irish deerhound incase you hadn't guessed.
he gets picked on when my mum takes him for a walk in the park! e.g. people have asked if he's on steroids. can't remember any others but had some funny ones.
also when she used to take him to obedience classes this 1 man lined up behind my mum and alfie and said to his dog 'let's stand behind the horse'!.
he's a right big friendly giant.
eta: my mum has also decided she wants an ex racing greyhound after reading about how some of them get shot when they're past their 'prime'.
He's gorgeous
looks like our eldest will be getting put to sleep tomorrow. :crying:
That sucks.
A couple of weeks ago my westie was put to sleep. It's rubbish but you have just got to remember that it is probably kinder that way. My doggie was quite ill and in a lot of pain. It is better in the long run.
xxx
i've been crying more than i did when my nan passed away.
we've had her since i was 9. i'm 21 now!
she's got really bad over the weekend and it's not a very good quality of life for her.
At least you know it's the right thing to do. Not that that makes it any easier.
And it's natural that you are upset. She's been around you constantly for 12 years.
Hope things go well tomorrow. I'll be thinking of you xx
thank you very much. xx
Her name is Belle, she is 6 years old, and she is a terrier/rottweiler cross
Putting down animals is rubbish, even though it's kinder that way. RIP dog.
in the third picture doesn't she look as though she's thinking 'what the fuck are you doing now!?!?'
:crying: I hate that. We nearly had to put a dog of ours down earlier this year because he was so ill. And the other dog may have an operation so she'll be deaf.:crying:
Sorry to hear about your doggie lucifer.
She makes me think of:
What a beardy cutester.
RIP mabel. just got back from the vets.
this is the most recent picture i have of her.
