    he's our irish deerhound incase you hadn't guessed.

    he gets picked on when my mum takes him for a walk in the park! e.g. people have asked if he's on steroids. can't remember any others but had some funny ones.

    also when she used to take him to obedience classes this 1 man lined up behind my mum and alfie and said to his dog 'let's stand behind the horse'!. :lol:

    he's a right big friendly giant. :heart:

    eta: my mum has also decided she wants an ex racing greyhound after reading about how some of them get shot when they're past their 'prime'.

    we have a shetland sheepdog (13) , weimaraner (5 last week!), chihuahua (4) and a miniature sausage dog (2 1/2)

    We've got a 9 year old border collie who still things she's a puppy! She gets a touch of arthritis so now she's walking around with a magnetic collar on (like magnetic bracelets people can wear)!

    :yippe: we have 7 dogs at the stables!, 3 labradors (2 black, 1 yellow), a jack russell, 2 patterdale pups and a hungarian vizla

    That sucks.

    A couple of weeks ago my westie was put to sleep. It's rubbish but you have just got to remember that it is probably kinder that way. My doggie was quite ill and in a lot of pain. It is better in the long run.

    i've been crying more than i did when my nan passed away.

    we've had her since i was 9. i'm 21 now!

    she's got really bad over the weekend and it's not a very good quality of life for her. :(

    At least you know it's the right thing to do. Not that that makes it any easier.

    And it's natural that you are upset. She's been around you constantly for 12 years.

    These are pictures of my dog.

    Her name is Belle, she is 6 years old, and she is a terrier/rottweiler cross :D

    :crying: I hate that. We nearly had to put a dog of ours down earlier this year because he was so ill. And the other dog may have an operation so she'll be deaf.:crying:
