What shall I make?

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
I want to make some cakes or sweets or something but not sure what. Victoria sponge is a bit boring but the Pimp My Snack items, which have been posted here before are a bit tricky as I don't have too much time.

Any ideas?

Mmmmmmm, could do either of those, or maybe both!!! I love chocolate so it's definitely an ingredient to include!

Any more ideas out there, or good websites to get recipes from?

Miffy - I have just signed up to that website - looks really good. I also REALLY like the sound of those Rolo brownies so might have to pop down to the local shop to buy a few extra ingredients!

do you put the rolos in whole? also, how many will this make roughly?

I make it in a tin 18 x 24 cm. How many it makes depends on how many you want to cut it into, so if you don't feel like sharing that's one big one!! Or about 10 smaller ones.

Put the rolos in whole, yes. I have also been known to put in more than the recipe states....

I feel a little sick now! Made the rolo brownies - very very nice and my boyfriend certainly seems to like them, also made chocolate chip cookies but with cadbury crunchie chocolate chunks and carrot cakes with butter icing. All are delicious and so were the mixes - hence why I feel sick as I ate way too much of the uncooked mixtures! Hehe!

Thanks everyone, particulary for the rolo brownie recipe!!! I would reccommend it to anyone!

I just didn't put any nuts in mine today. It is sooooooo good! Won't last very long though, especially as my boyfriend likes it so much too!

had a right faff getting the ingredients!

we hardly had any of it in so i went to sainsburys. they didn't have the right chocolate or rolos. so i got what i could and went to londis. they had no chocolate but rolos. they were 45p so i thought i'd get some from asda while i was buying chocolate. went to asda and got chocolate but they didn't have rolos so i went back to londis!

    they best taste good. :p
