I didn't mean that they should remake the film from the film, but from the book which was much better.

    I'll shut up then...

Wow. Somebody who didn't go to my primary school who's actually heard of it. :)

Heard of it and read it quite a few times ... it's a great children's book. Very exciting. :)

Just thinking......a dramatisation of the recording of the Layla album could be something...as a story, it's got it all.

It would depend on who got involved though.

    Waterloo

Zulu (although the original will always be king  )

Lord of the Rings. Way too Hollywood looking for my liking - a more mystical re-make would good.

The Sharpe series by bernard cornwell could be a smash hit on the big screen - although you'd need over 5 films with hefty budgets.

I'd like to see True Romance remade but with Taratino directing instead of just writing.
    I loved the original!

Oh, so do I but I think it'd be interesting to see how Tarantino's style would differ from Tony Scott's.

The Thursday Next series by Jasper Fforde (I'd give my right leg to see a decent film version of the 2nd & 3rd books).

Well, it'd be fun watching people who hadn't read the books trying to make any sense of the film whatsoever :)

I reckon there's a few Iain Banks books that could make it into the film world.

Terry Brooks's "Word & Void" trilogy would make good films IMO. Some of the best dark fantasy stories I've ever read.
