    actually 'thesite' isn't a word afaik.. 'the site' wouldn't be allowed (to be registered)

    I had to add .org to the end because I actually had people asking me if 'TheSite Chat' was for people on the boards or something unrelated. At no point did I add 'TheSite.org Official Chat'.

    well then it can be registered. they keep it as 1 word in other places not including the url... you said they couldnt register it, i was pointing out that they could.
    I don't even think it's possible to register things that are common words, unless used in a specific context to identify them (ie, adding .org on the end).

    that kind of implied it...

    I've went into the wee chatroom a couple of times. Harmless really. I don't even know half the people that goes in though, so I don't usually have much to chat about in there. Just go in for a nosey when I'm bored.
