Is anyone supersitious of this day still? Have you ever actually avoided doing stuff because of this day?

    nope, I love Friday the 13th :shocking: :yes: I actually find the idea of unlucky things quite cool. stepping on cracks in the pavements, broken mirrors, and my favourite gemstone is opal, which is supposed to be unlucky.

    No, I've never aviod doing stuff when its a Friday 13th, I think I have out grown the supersition.

    Having said that I still don't like walking under ladders or scaffolding, but I don't think its to do with the fact that walking under ladders is considered bad luck, its more due to the fact that I'm worried about something being dropped and hitting me.

    I have an exam in Semantics today, which is the worst one out of all the modules. Does that count as unlucky?

    my 'unnoficial' boyfriend was born on friday 13th, so to me that was lucky, but this morning i woke up with my period everywhere so that wasn't so good :(

    I've always been daft and said 'ooh its friday the 13th' but never avoided anything because of it. Though I had an arguement with my boyfriend this morning, and now I don't have the physical energy to do anything, so maybe thats my bad luck for the day. *sniffle*

    my mum and brother are going away to center parcs for the weekend without me now because i'm too ill

    nah never found it unlucky or lucky, to me its just another day.

    the broken mirror thing i've recently found out why thats meant to be unlucky. it maybe true or not but its a good reason.
    Mirrors where orginally backed in silver, if a servent broke the his/her master/mistress's mirror it would cost them a % of their wages for 7years to pay back the money to replace it.

    i never even realised it was going to be friday 13th until i woke up this morning. strange because it was thursday the 12th yesterday so i'd have thought i would've made the connection. either way, i don't believe in any supersitious faff.

    Im a superstitious person in certain ways but friday the 13th dont normally freak me, until today when my boyfriend is flying up to scotland. So yeah im pretty freaked and worried but il be fine once I get a text (which i should have got by now) to say he's there!

    It doesn't bother me. I just think it's funny when some people are like OMG friday 13th!!! as if it's some majorly big deal.

    I haven't had any bad luck today, so far. Hopefully I won't.
