    Trafalger square in london.
    Being made to go there is one of my worst fears, coz of the pigeons.

    or waking up in a coffin, drowning or being buried alive.

    Wow all these fears yov suddenly brought to my attention!! :thumb: I think a lot of things mentioned on here are everyones phobias i.e. burned alive(that must be one of the worst)buried alive etc.
    Some different ones as well like being a failure and alone.....I thought they wouls all be spiders or birds!!

    i never said it was a phobia
    but i avoid going out because of it, and i get really paranoid when im out alone

    If it interferes with your daily life then it is a phobia.

    That's not strictly the definition of a phobia.

    A phobia has 3 defining characteristics:
    1. Anxiety in particular circumstances
    2. Avoidance of such cirumstances
    3. Anticipatory anxiety when there is the prospect of encountering such circumstances

    You can have a phobia and it not interfere with daily life. Likewise a rational fear is not necessarily a phobia.

    Sounds like ballerina is describing generalised anxiety rather than a specific phobia.
