Worst fears....

Ok whats everyones worst fears.I did do a search but couldnt see anything and couldnt be bothered to look through all the pages that came up :blush:
My worst fears are
1)Open water!Id be absolutlely piss shitting scared if I was alone in the middle of the ocean with just water everywhere and anyone who says they wouldnt be is inhuman!! :nervous:
2)Hornets.Id never seen them before but when I saw my first one it flew right at my head and every one since has too!! :eek: Plus they are fcuking MASSIVE compared to wasps.

I hope I get some good replys here.

    2. severe illness
    3. losing people i love

    I'm claustrophobic so I avoid going in lifts... it's a bit difficult when you're being wheeled through a hospital in a bed though... I was actually more scared of going in the lift to get to surgery than actually having an operation :rolleyes:

    Hmm... my worst fear though... no idea... dying in some horrible way probably. Shouldn't be thinking about this before bed, I'll have weird dreams. :chin:

    Can't say I'm afraid of much to be fair...

    I guess ending up in a world like Silent Hill would be scary, or endng up in prison in somewhere like China.

    yeah man I'm shit scared of open water as well, and jellyfish, whales and sharks.

    also I hate wasps, ive not seen a hornet before i dont think....

    Well I suppose you wouldn't want it happening to you but I wouldn't call them fears, they could happen at any moment, a fear is something inside you that remains...I'd fear getting burned alive, doesn't mean I fear fire if you catch me.

    i'm no fan of spiders but i would have though murder/rape/abduction would be worse than a spider, it happens alot so i don't see how its different from a fear of drowning or something

    I think he means that if you're scared of spiders then anytime you see a spider you freak out and if you're scared of heights you stay the fuck away from cliffs and high places.

    How does a fear of rape/abduction manifest itself? Do you fear every male? Or not go out in case it happens? Its not really a fear its something that you would hate to happen but its not at the uppermost of your mind if you see what i mean.

    I think thats what he means and it does make sense. I would hate to be beaten to death by a killer gorrilla but I don't avoid the zoo at all costs :p

    Exactly, saying you are scared of being brutally attacked and raped is totally meaningless, everyone is, its not a phobia, which I assume is what the thread poster meant.

    Me, I have a phobia of using public toilets.

    You can be phobic of being attacked, but I don't think that's what Ballerina meant.

    She is right, though, it is a fear, and it can be a huge fear.

    My biggest phobia is being burned alive. Or being stuck in a locked room with Barry Manilow records on full volume.
