Shouldn't we be open and honest, and finally admit what we all in reality know? That New Labour is nothing more than the New Conservatives. Its simply an old party wrapped up in new clothes, clothes it borrowed from the Tories.
Trouble is, what do we call the Tories?
Don't all rush at once ......

and i'm sure it was you who said recently that gordon browns very crafty way of redistributing the wealth of the nation was old labour in disguise ...socialist ...i could be wrong though.
Nah, you're quite right
See what I mean about your 'consistency problem' Rich Kid?
:eek2:
i've never been hard left, bolshy type twat..and i dissagree with a few things with the present government.
its a case of "better the devil you know" imo!
tories haven't even bothered to try and re invent themselves....
For the first two years they followed Tory spending targets but broadly speaking, apart from taxation, they've shown a tendency to be "conservative" - small "c". This appears to be on the wane as the thin veneer of "conservativism" is disappearing as Gordon's influence and power increases, and in the not too distant future I'm sure we'll see "Old Labour" make a comeback. Hope so, then they'll be unelectable, as in the good old days.
Strangely enough, polls show that Labour would be heading for a .landslide if Brown, rather then Blair were the leader.
Which kinda pisses on your tea-party somewhat.......
I just sense that the third administration will be when the wheels come off the Labour wagon and they're shown up for what they really are, incompetents.
Meanwhile the Tories will ditch Howard for Davies, Kennedy will be under pressure, and the whole political landscape could be changed.
The cream on the cake would be Labour riven with splits between the "New" wing and the "Old" wing, each destroying one another.
We should be told.
The one party that Labour continually criticises for being racist has the most candidates from ethnic minorities, funny that.
And yes I agree it should be about "quality" but why are the "quality" candidates choosing to stand for the Tories?
i have not turned anything around, im not a labour supporter and its not an unpalatable truth
