Its a VAT taxable illegal product. Simple really.
But, they cant bring one, and police forces dont want to bring one because it will cost loads and may fail.
The Home Office might prescribe the mushrooms in law, but that presents a very difficult case. This is because then anyone found with them growing on their land would be liable for 'production of a class A substance'.
And if you didnt press charges against people with them wild on their land and you did those growing them on purpose you'd go up agains the EU bill of Human Rights. This garentee's people 'fair and equal treatment under law'.
See?
I don't understand why they don't just spend more time and money on the big drug rings that there are selling the heavy stuff....rather than picking on the little guys that just happened to pick a couple of mushrooms in a field or buy some to grow. *shakes head*
Right better get on
Going after the 'big drug gangs' is in the main a fairly futile effort. When was the last time you heard about a big heroin bust? Last year, the year before? Yet theres more and more heroin getting in.
We should face the fact that supply causes demand and the 'big players' in the drug market are better, smarter, faster and better funded than the police.
Of course we should make efforts to stop supply, but its really the demand we should be concentrating on.
