Now how about Refused everyone?!
straylight run
uhh... Yeah... I'd say you're pretty wrong. Who are you referring to as 'modern punk' bands?
I love Dead Can Dance, Nick Cave and Lamb.
How about
Coil
Godspeed You Black Emperor
Can
The Bug
Einstuerzende Neubaten
Alabama 3
The The
Violent Femmes
Good man!
Prefer his dad, Tim Buckley.
And bands who are reaonably well-known, but never get the credit they deserve:
Nah, not after hearing his version of "Hallelujah".
will never get bored of 'susans house'
ooh they are cool, i stumbled across them a few years ago when i was downloading something to do with 'chuckies bride'. lol
great band
silverchair - i doubt anyone in australia doesn't know who they are seeing how they are aussies. They live near me actually. (when they are in aus anyway, they live in newcastle).
saw nick cave last week they also hugely known in oz
lamb - are touring here and i'm pretty sure that they are well known here.
jeff buckley - a great artist, but tim is still the best in my book
dream theater are getting quite well know now to, good for them :thumb:
gazooga attack
aampirellas
suicidal tendencies
sevendust
morph
beautiful girls
primus
best kept secret
the disables
the casanovas
the eels
gyroscope
antiskeptic
andromeda
i could go forever. these bands need way more recognition.
Pulp! I re-discovered Different Class the other day. Thats an excellent album.
I saw Elbow supporting Muse 2 weeks ago-they were fantastic! Ive never really heard their stuff before, but they blew me away-went out the next day and bought their newest album.
The bestest Pulp album by far is We LOve LIfe, go and buy it NOW!
Try and find their cover of "Independent Women", its a classic. Part of it is on rathergood.com, or it was anyway.
Two years agho Id ahve agreed with you, but theyre quite big now, certainly in the underground. All the wannabe-Avrils wear RBF hoodies.
And alas theyre about as good as Avril now:(
ive been looking for King Adora's album for a few years and i found it in a random shop in nottingham \o/
anyway... unknown bands...
Hazel
Tad
Temple Of The Dog (Pearl Jam with Chris Cornell on vocals = win like moonshiner said, check out Cornell's solo stuff too, its ace)
Captialist Casualties
Aus Rotten
But then again people say I have bad taste in music to begin with :S
i thought he was joking.
ive seen them supporting avril.....their really talented but a bit boring....but it might be because the guy in front (who was fat, sweaty and greasy) kept flicking his manky sweat over everyone whilst he was moshing....that could have put me off them :yuck:
they're a fun band, good to dance to, but i agree, theyve become like the ska band that are like 'soooo coool and different' etc meh i quite like them i guess
Also Clinic and The Sadies
Tad aren't unknown!!
Loooaaads of people have heard of silverchair down here-shade, ana's song - both awesome
a great band which not many people know about is Liberty 37..nothing like the chart band by-the-by
also...GOATBOY, yeh! great stuff
I agree with the Our Lady Peace suggestion but I find them a bit too poppy
I did that too! Hadnt really heard anything of Elbow before i heard them support Muse, but i def liked what i heard (didnt think v much to the first support which was Martin Grech when i went to see them anyway)
Well IVE never heard of them! What songs have they done that I mighta heard...?
He did that song "Susan's House" that was pretty popular nearly 10 years ago I think. But since then his stuff hasn't been as commercial.
They don't get on the radio any more (haven't done for about 5 years I don't think) but they are well-known and have a big fanbase.
