So how come ive never met a single person whos heard of Silverchair?! huh?! not right i tell you!!
The Crocketts
Lacuna Coil - Evanescence so copied these guys its unreal!
Lacrimosa - german goth metal, kinda rammstein -ish
Sanguin Moon - A Lacuna Coil/Inkubus Sukkubus mix
Lullacry - good good good good
My Ruin - If you're in a loud-ish kinda mood
Jack Off Jill - socially outcast metal, fun fun fun
Switchblade Symphony - Suicide metal, kinda fun childish horror music
I recommend checking these bands out when you have the time. They are kinda weird but then again I wouldn't be listening to them if they were normal.
british sea power
husk
hitler's lost daughter (i don't actually know if they're still around)
Yann Tiersen
Jeff Buckley (quite well known, but not nearly enough!)
That's all I can think of now.
Most people who've heard of Lacrimosa will have heard of dead can Dance and vice versa.
Not enough English people know of The Rasmus in my opinion.
And they don't know Saybia and Mew (no one said I couldn't advertise for Danish acts )
Oh, and I don't know how it is in the UK but here Ian Brown hasn't got even a tenth of the credit he deserves.
Ooh! Unknown in both Denmark and England, Maximillian Hecker.
Caesars Palace
Morph
Dream Theater
Pain of Salvation
wasnt sukkubus a demon that fucked dead men?
just a thought.
umm ultimate fakebook
brand new
jefferies fan club
thats all i can think of right now
Ooo i love them am gonna try see them in January
xxx
No they aren't exactly obscure, but the majority of siters won't have heard of them, I'm sure.
They are one of my favourite bands. They really do deserve more recognition as they have evolved from the 'Nirvana clone' tag they used to have.
me too, at the oxford zodiac
 couldnt agree more! i love them! (have to be a very special band for me to appreciate them) - im a dance/drum&bass girl at heart! Something about Silverchair grabs me..
xxx
Edited to add: On The Silverchair subject i luv them, suicidal dreams and ana's song are jus beautiful:)
Me three
I'm more excited about seeing straylight supporting though.
Chancer
King Adora
Maroon 5
I like Silverchair. I thought they were pretty well known, though? And yeah you're right about the Oz thing - they were mentioned by Summer on Neighbours recently!
Alkaline Trio are great too
Everclear are a good American band, but their latest stuff has gone downhill
Oh, and Eels used to be quite well know but even though they faded out their new stuff is still good
The postal service (brilliant)(get album -Give Up!!)
Dntel(linked to the postal service)
Death cab for cutie(singer in postal service..also in this band)
The Frames (big irish band)
The reindeer section (gary lightbody from snow patrol contributed to their only album to date, very class album too...called son of evil reindeer)
David Kitt (singer songwriter, amazing voice, amazing songs)
Thursday
Taking Back Sunday
Saves The Day
Rival Schools
They're all quite well known and easy to get hold of, so the people at theSITE should have no problem checking them out! For people already in the know, check out:
Songs:Ohio
Further Seems Forever
Coheed And Cambria
Ted Leo And The Pharmacists
Sunny Day Real Estate
Piebald
Last Days Of April
Bright Eyes
Cursive
Someone already said Death Cab For Cutie, who are awesome.
:thumb: Yeah they're great.
Has anyone heard of the Kidney Thieves? I found them when I was trying to download something and accidentally got one of their songs instead. They're really good.
Good news for you - "Son Of Evil Reindeer" was their second album. The first one is called "Y'all Get Scared Now, Ya Hear" or summat like that. The Postal Service album is on my list.
Pretty Girls Make Graves is another one - bought their last album yesterday and it's ace - elements of hardcore and indie, very good stuff.
