Nystagmus & Driving?

I have nystagmus. Anyone know if I'm legally allowed to drive? I looked on a nystagmus website (the association or something) and all I could find on there was about it saying that it would depend on driving laws. I can't find anything useful on the DVLA website either.

Yep it does depend entirely on the degree of your nystagmus, like my little brother has just been told he's borderline but is pretty much resigned to not driving

Can my optician tell me whether I can drive or would I have to go to the eye infermary(sp?)?
