But that is going AGAINST the capitalist system. If the company is doing it's job properly, it will be a monoploy.

The company that offers the best service and price will destroy the competition because they can't do the job as "well". It's the inevitable fact - check microsoft and walmart.

Not long ago we had LOADS of PC options. Commodores, Acorns, Apples, Amstrads, and all sorts.

Now it's MS or lose functionality.

Anyway. Vista. Meh.

I see what you're saying about economies of scale. Throughout economic history there tends to be a pendulum effect from free market economies back to more centralised command economies (or just more state-owned industry).

I think the system we have is the best we've got.

Except I don't get paid enough.
