You ever get chest pains or heart pains or any pain around that area? I'm starting to get worried. Maybe it's time I quit...

Nope, only when I've had a cold but I have had chest infections and bronchitis

    Yes.

I'm going to the doctors next week.

Mostly for other stuff, but that will be being mentioned.

I get random stabbing pains in my heart. I don't know if that's due to smoking, drug use or just something I'd get anyway.

Give up anyway, dude. I feel so much better for it and when one considers the possible consequences, it's not worth the addiction .... :)

It's always time to quit mate.

I've made a few attempts to give up but I've never been able to completely knock it on the head.
Smoke a lot less than I used to now. Up the pub mostly now.

Part of me would love to quit, but as you guys know, it's not easy. At least i'm not the only one who gets chest pains. I've been waiting to have a heart attack all week..!

Well, this has been enough to get me into a quitting attempt. Have officially quit today. Have read Allen Carr's book again, but as I failed on that last year, it just didn't seem to have the same punch this time round, so I'll be going out to buy the DVD at lunch. Anything is a help. Haven't smoked since last night anyway and don't feel to bad...

Well done you! Hope you stick at it. Get some patches, best to try not do it alone. Good luck. :yippe:

Nah, patches suck. With the amount of people who have done it the Allen Carr way I believe in this method - just need to get it into my dumb head...

I have just given up smoking and without the aid of the patches. Im on day 9 now and all going well, i would say the first 3 days is the real nightmare, after that it has been alot easier. Im just keeping on the low one with my mates who do smoke, so it stops the temptation. I find keeping yourself occupied really keeps your mind off thinking about it.

Im an ex smoker of 25/30 ish a day, best thing I ever did was quit smoking, well apart from ive piled the pounds on and im not liking that though so if anyones thinking about quitting try not to stuff your face all the time like i did. Ive now got gym membership just to try and shift these extra pounds ive put on.

Keep busy and change of routine are a must......keep at it and once you get past that first few days it gets easier. I still sometimes could quite happily light up, mainly if im out socialising but I know all it takes is that one puff and im hooked again, so have to resist the temtation.
