Bank Transfers

I transferred a bit of money from my Halifax account into my Natwest account on the 21st December.

It still hasn't appeared in my Natwest account. This worries me as I've transferred quite a bit of money.

How long do transfers usually take?

    I'm sure that as it is between different banks it is the same amount of time as a cheque. Not 100% sure but that was y understanding.

    And because it is the holidays, it will take longer anyway.

    BACS transfers take three working days, and CHAPS transfers are same day. You won't have sent it by CHAPS as the bank normally charges you £20 to do it.

    I'd expect it to clear 28 or 29 December.
