Im on Blueyonder, And my "internet box" connects to the World Via Fiber Optic Cables (if thats how you spell it)

And no a 4 port switch would be no good

No im not on ADSL, and My "Internet" box connects to my "router" via ethernet

If you do have ADSL CoolME, then you may want to get a router with an ADSL modem built in, cuts down the number of boxes for the internet and hopefully less bits to go wrong.
