Pumpkins

Got 2 large pumpkins for a Halloween party on 28th to carve out. Won't be using the flesh to make anything for the party, but we're having a bonfire party the following week, so ...............

Any ideas for using the pumpkin flesh, apart from soup, pie and bunging in a curry

Does pumpkin flesh freeze well ?

Those big ones grown for people to carve arent always great for eating, taste obviously isnt much of a concern for the farmer.

You can make quite a good pasta sauce with it though, nutmeg, loads of parmazan (how in gods name do you spell that?).

Butternut or gem squash have a better taste I think, though they arent really right for carving.
