i just love all his work and he has a lot of charisma.
female: juliette lewis
shes a doll and a bit crazy!
Stephen Fry in the Oscar Wild film he did, he's doing a tv drama soon too called Kingdom.
I liked Matt Damon in the 2 Bourne films, Jack Nicholson, Brad Pitt is ok, Johnny Depp if he gets the right role (usually some weirdo ) Mel Gibson, Harrison Ford. John Gielgud too
As for the ladies, i adore Maggie Smith and Judy Dench. Not in film a great deal but Julie Walters is pretty good. Michelle Pfieffer (if thats spelt right). Sandra Bullock, when she plays a serious role.
There's a load of Sirs and Dames i missed out from this list but i can't remember who's got what
For myself i wouldn't say i like all his work, but he's a mighty fine actor.
Like, Tom Cruise couldn't do half of those roles. He doesn't have the versatility.
Or the good looks
Johnny Depp for Fear and Loathing
Edward Norton for American History X
Russell Crowe for Romper Stomper
I'll have to think a bit more about the ladies. :chin:
De Niro for any Scorsese film he does
Al Pacino, obviously
Kyle MacLachlan for Twin Peaks and Blue Velvet
Naomi Watts for Mullholland Drive
Robert Carlisle for lots of things
Ewan McGregor for anything not written by George Lucas
Scarlett Johansson for Lost in Translation
Diane Keaton for any Woody Allen film
Bjork (yes Bjork) for Dancer in the Dark
Tony Leung for In the Mood for Love and Chungking Express
Takeshi Kaneshiro for Chungking Express
Al Pacino for the Godfather Trilogy.
Johnny Depp for just being him.
Anyway;
Al Pacino because the man is just simply awesome!
Sir Ian McKellen because he should be nominated for an Oscar for his role in X-men: Last Stand.
Ben Affleck because he SHOULD have won the Oscar for Dogma.
Ewan McGregor as he is just great!
Matt Damon, also great!
George Clooney, who i think is quite underrated as an actor.
Natalie Portman, who is Amazingly good...when she chooses a decent part to play.
Scarlett Johanson, mostly because she looks damn good in what ever she does.
Keira Knightley who is quite talented.
Lyndsey Lohan.
Rachel McAdams
Emma Watson is good...when the Director isn't a twanker!
Female: Jodie Foster, really get a feel for her in Panic Room.
Agreed.
Agreed
Paul Newman, too. Particularly in The Hustler, Hud, Slap Shot and of course Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. [I heard a rumour that Matt Damon and BEN AFFLECK have the rights or whatever to remake this; if they do then the little bit of love that I have for Matt Damon will sink without a trace. Ben Affleck, ffs.]
My favourite actress is undoubtedly Jessica Lange. It was Frances that cemented my absolute love of her, but I think she's fantastic in everything and makes Tootsie just about bearable. I'd watch a turd harden if she was narrating or doing a little jig in the background.
Oh, and how could I forget Sophia Coppola in The Godfather III. Undoubtedly an Oscar-worthy performance. SHE WOZ ROBBED!
I mean, for the love of God, I know everyone thinks their child is the bees knees but she was like a walking, talking cadaver in that film. Best decision Winona Ryder ever made, opting out of the role.
denzil washington (in almost anything)
No.
It's a fantastic film and Depp is outstanding in it. He actually lived with Hunter S Thompson for several months (in his basement I believe!) before filming to get a feel for the role. He's great in Blow as well. I can't wait for 'The Rum Diary'.
I agree with Edward Norton for American History X and Fight Club. The first time I noticed his talent was in Primal Fear though.
Steve Buscemi is an excellent actor also.
i love him in harry potter, scarlett letter, leon, fifth element.. mostly everything ive ever seen him in!!
plus he's hot i know he's in his late 40's/early 50s but i still love him!!
David Thewlis was good in Harry Potter.
