Anyone like any specific manga films (the ones from the 90's)?

Urotsukidoji I love now, legend of the overfiend when akemi's trying to get the transformed negumo to kill her, kinda touching.:( (he cries blood)

Fist of the North Star = nuts, just plain nuts.... proper

akira = the daddy of course but its a bit boring too much talk.

any takers?
Beep boop. I'm a bot.

Just watched Jin Roh: Wolf Brigade again - superb film, let alone superb anime.

Other than that Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and Samurai Champloo are excellent, although Princess Mononoke is still my favourite.

Indeed Samurai Champloo is good, which is saying something as i don't really like hip-hop that much, which is the predominant music throughout the whole thing.

If people like the standard beat them up, lose power up, beat them up some more type anime then i would recommend Bleach :D

I watched steamboy last night. Suppose its not your average manga stuff but its still an amazing bit of artwork.
For anyone who hasnt seen it and appriciates good artistic skills, watch this movie! There are scenes that are that well drawn you can hardly tell if they really are drawing or if its actual live footage.

    Specifically films?
    - Castle in the Sky (first I ever watched - I was one of the lucky sods who caught it when it was shown on ITV in the 80s)
    - Princess Mononoke
    - Perfect Blue
    - Ghost in the Shell
    - Spirited Away
    - Does Dragon Half count as a movie? You can't really call it a series... That's fucking hilarious.

    Series:
    - Neon Genesis Evangelion (advice: never try watching this all in one sitting - your head will hurt & your eyes will feel funny)
    - Full Metal Alchemist
    - Cowboy Bebop
    - Inu Yasha
    - Trigun
    - Elven Lied (you can't not like an anime where the 1st ep starts with a naked woman making people go splody, right? Right?)

Plenty of others, but this is stuff I've come up with off the top of my head.

I've seen Urotsokodoji. But of course it's cut to ribbons & really badly dubbed - one of these days I'm going to try to track down all the full length series (they did about 6 series in all I think...).

They supposedly made 5 urotsukidoji films but the 5th one got cut for being too gory (legend has it it got cut for having kiddy porn in it). the 6th is a remake of the first two but with more story behind it.

I would like to see the original first 2 films but there probably really rare and you probably can't hear the dialogue but the first 2's dubbed script is quite funny cause of all the swearing, for example:

Monster: Im gonna fuck you Amano Jyaku!
Amano Jyaku: Fuck you you fucking piece of monster shit! fuck off!

I'm pretty sure they're series - each being made up of 6 half hour episodes. According to the Erotic Anime Movie Guide anyway...
